All Doctors are committed to offering a comprehensive well women service to their patients. Services include Family planning , contraception, Infertility initial investigations and discussion, Antenatal and maternity care and Gynaecological problem review. Dr Sarah Callaghan, Dr Brenda Maguire and Dr Helen Casey all have special interest in womens health. They are skilled in insertion of Coils and Implants.

Both Practices are accredited with the National Cervical Screening Programme. This is available free of charge for all women between 25 – 60 years old. You can avail of this service even if you are not a patient of the practice. To avail of this free service you will need to contact the National Cervical Screening Programmer on line at www.cervicalcheck.ie or Freephone 1800454555.
You will be issued with a letter with your registration number on it. Please bring this letter with you to your appointment. There is also a private smear service available if you fall outside the National Screening Guidelines. There is an extra laboratory charge on private smears, please phone the Medical Clinic for full details.
Book an appointment with our nurse Shelley to have your smear, smears should be done when the woman is not bleeding.
2. Family Planning
Both Practices offer a full family planning service. This includes advice on all forms of contraception. We offer a service for removal and fitting of Implant, Mirena and Copper coils. This service is extended to GMS patients who are not in the practice, as extra charge applies to these patients. Please phone the Medical Clinic for further information.
We offer infertility advice and initial blood tests including AMH, and initial investigations were applicable. Both Practices offer full Antenatal and Postnatal care during and after pregnancy. Both practices Part take in the HSE Maternity and Infant Care Scheme.
